Jackson is HERE

We have our boy! He was born on December 29th (before NY yay lol) at 7:41pm and was 8lbs9oz and 19 inches long. He is the most precious thing ever and we couldn't be any happier. He's almost three days old and at home with us. We stayed in the hospital for a couple days but had no complications.

I had almost 19 hrs of labor with the first 4 hours spent at home until my water partially broke at 3:45 in the morning. It was a long day but obviously well worth it! I look forward to every day, to see him grow and look more like us. :)

Daddy is ecstatic and is such an amazing father already. He is definitely getting the hang of it all.

Things to be "Thankful" for

Happy December!

Well here's the update:
Jackson may be coming a little sooner than expected but we won't know yet until my next check up in a few days. ;) He is.....a little chumby. lol At my 35 week ultrasound he was measuring at 37 weeks and his head is measuring bigger than his tum tum. We are hopeful (taking his health/lungs into consideration) that we can get scheduled to induce and have him before Christmas. He would be about 2 weeks early...but he's a strong little boy and I believe would be just fine! :) We are SOOO excited to SEE him and hold him. I can't wait to snuggle him for the first time. I know I'm going to be a mess when he arrives but it's a good thing!

As for past things:
Thanksgiving and my birthday were great! Ate way too much as usual and because of that had to be put on part time bed rest because of my blood pressure. (dumb) It was back down the following day at the ultrasound appt but I go again this Tuesday for a re-evaluation. School is going well...I actually have over 1000 hours done and am trying to get atleast another week and a half's worth more before I'm on leave for the holidays. (And Jackson comes of course)
We also had the baby shower which was fun! Mary Ann did a great job of putting it together and we got quite a few things for the little man. We did however end up going to babies r us a couple weeks later to buy "the rest" of the stuff we needed which was quite a chunk out of the wallet but...we are READY for him to come. :)

Lastly, I did another maternity shoot with an awesome chick I was introduced to who did some 3rd tri photos of me. I definitely look preggo at 34 weeks!!

Hopefully my next update will be pictures of Jackson on the outside!!

Holy crap!

Wow I'm the worst at updating! Ha!

Well where should I begin...

We are having A BOY! His name will be Jackson and we couldn't be more excited to bring that little baby into this world. I am 29 weeks (tomorrow) and it's still been pretty easy thus far other than the occasional back pain, sore feet/legs and my 3lb. tubby inside my belly slowing me down a little. ;)

I feel him kick, punch, tumble and whatever other karate moves he does everyday....and night. lol We've been able to get his room pretty much ready for him with the exception of having the baby shower to get the "good" stuff to fill it in. Mary Ann will be throwing it at her house next month on the 19th and I'm looking forward to having family and friends gather to celebrate!

School is going well. It's becoming repetitous but I'm trying to make it everyday to get my hours in and hopefully finish next year by early summer. (seems like FOREVER!)
Jay (or should I start calling him daddy? lol) is doing well at work. He plays golf now on a regular basis and really enjoys it.....though he now has a small "injury" i.e. tennis elbow, because he plays so much. ;)He'll be fine though....just another thing falling apart with age. LOL jk

29 weeks preggers...whoa lol

Happy belated 4th and other things :)

So I'm off for a week from school for the 4th of July. Can't complain about having a break. Not much going on with the pregnancy other than being normal. :) I've posted our last ultrasound at 12 weeks where they took measurements and blood to check for disorders. I have to go back in a few weeks for another check up and more blood work. This week I am 14 weeks (since Tuesday) and am really excited to find out the baby's gender in less than two weeks. Jay and I still can't decide on names. We are trying our best to come up with/agree ;) on a boy and a girl's name.

School is going well too. I'm out on the floor working on clients and am happy to be doing so. It can be a little hard standing all day when it's busy but better than being bored in the freshman room.

I can't wait to decorate/paint the baby's room and get all that going when it's time. I'm so impatient! :)

Next time I post we will know what "it" is!
